USA, MA: Medford Brewing Company raising money for own brewery

Medford Brewing Company is raising money to open the city's first brewery. The company, which has been contract brewing over the last couple years, launched a crowdfunding campaign in late February seeking investors for its own brewery, Patch.com reported on March 20.

The Wefunder campaign would fund one of two options – a large operation in West Medford or a scaled-down location in Medford Square – based on how much money is raised, co-founder Nick Bolitho told Eater. A brewery would save the company money on beer production while allowing it to host local fans at its taproom.

Medford Beer Company recently signed with Atlantic Beverage Distributors and is now in over 200 locations, the company wrote on Facebook earlier this month.
